Christmas 2011: Part 1

I haven't blogged about Christmas yet.  To tell you the truth, I've been intimidated by the 300+ pictures Whitney and I took.  What can we say?  It was our babies' first Christmas?  It was the first time we were all together again since August!  It was a blast!

Grandma and Grandpa Brown couldn't get enough of the two babies.  They played and laughed and had a great time together.  Maybe one of these days we'll all live within reasonable driving distance so that we can play more often.

Jacie Lynn is cute as a bug.  She's speedy, too.  She'd beat Hyrum in a race any day...for now at least.  The two babies were so interested in each other.  It was fun to watch them interact.  Hyrum would just watch Jacie with this "What are you doing?" look on his face.

In true Hyrum form, he loved to get into boxes and dishwashers and whatever else he could find.  Grandma Brown bought a fence to put up around the tree and presents.  It was a perfect solution because the babies loved climbing all over the fence...who cares if we can't get to the tree...

We bought a real live Christmas tree at Lowe's for $5!  I thought it was the most awesome Christmas tree because it mooned you!  It's backside was bare!  We just put that backside right up against the wall and no one ever knew.  I sure did love that tree.

More to come about Houston, Grandpa, Christmas Eve, and Santa Claus!
